Penny Smyth Fedorchak

Penny’s passion has always been to be an artist. Her early interest in art found its path to pottery and stained glass; only in recent years has been she able to follow her heart’s desire to paint in watercolor. As a member of Jeanne Shanahan’s Plein Air Group, she has found her niche. Penny loves the colors of the outdoors and strives to capture their beauty and strength. She loves painting flowers and fruit in still life as well. Her recent art education has consisted of attending workshops and studying with local teachers. Among nationally known artists with whom Penny has studied are: Charles Reid, Dan Burt, Cheng Khee-Chee, Fealing Lin, Gerald Brommer, Carl Dalio, Frank Webb, Frank Francese, Don Andrews, Joan Mc Kasson, Barbara Nechis, Janet Walsh, Carol Barnes and Robbie Laird.
